The Energic Plus - MVC is a multivoltage battery charger, designed to be used with batteries of any type, voltage and capacity.

This charger is controlled by a high frequency electronic chopper regulator (DC/DC), capable to completely control the output current and voltage.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM

Standard MVC chargers are programmed with the IUa charge curve, represented in the following diagram.

The BULK CURRENT can be set with a potentiometer from zero to the maximum value.
MVC chargers are available with maximum output current of 50/80/100/150/200/400A. Intermediate values are available on request.

The FLOAT TENSION (also called "voltage threshold") can be selected with an apposite knob+selector between 12 values.
All the 12 default values can be adjusted individually, with internal trimmers, for maximum flexibility.

Standard default settings for the voltage knob+selector are:

• 1/2/3/4/5/6 cells in series and e 6 battery voltages (24/36/48/60/72/80V) with fixed gassing point at 2.40V/cell (picture below);
• Batteries 6/12/24/36/40/48V with selectable gassing point 2.40 or 2.50V/cell;
• Batteries 24/36/48/60/72/80V with selectable gassing point 2.40 or 2.50V/cell;
• Batteries 24/36/48/72/80/96V with selectable gassing point 2.40 or 2.50V/cell;
• Batteries 24/48/72/80/96/120V with selectable gassing point 2.40 or 2.50V/cell;

If required, the knob+selector can be replaced by a potentiometer, for continuous regulation of the output voltage from zero to the max.
