The Energic Plus - CBC is a fully programmable, multi-voltage, multi-capacity battery charger, designed to be used with batteries of any type.

This charger is controlled by a high frequency electronic chopper regulator (DC/DC), capable to completely control the output current and voltage.
Please contact the manufacturer to receive complete documentation about the electronic chopper regulator and its superior features for industrial applications, in comparison with ferroresonant, SCR, switchmode and saturable reactor systems.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM

Standard CBC models have these features:

• Threephase input 220/380/480/600Vac;
• Completely programmable output;
• Five selectable charge curves (IUa, IUIa, IU1U2a, IUIUa, custom);
• Integrated digital voltmeter and ammeter;
• Five LEDs on the primary control panel, for the indication of the state of charge;
• Three external auxiliary LEDs, for the indication of the state of the controller;
• Three internal auxiliary LEDs, for advanced programming and troubleshooting;
• Error/emergency messages on the display;
• Forced cooling;
• Active protection against output short-circuit, without fuses;
• Active protection against battery polarity reversal, without fuses;
• Thermal protection for all power electronic parts.

These are the programmable parameters:

• Battery voltage 12-24-36-48-72-80-96V;
• Initial charge current (0 - 100% of the maximum rated value);
• Gassing voltage (adjustable between 2,30 and 2,50V/cell, with steps of 0.01V/cell);
• Final charge time (from 1 to 6 hours);
• Charge curve: IUa (gel-cell), IUIa (traction lead-acid), IU1U2a (stationnary) - IUIUa (maintenance free);
• Digital display indication (Voltmeter or Ammeter);
• Voltmeter adjustment, for battery cables voltage drop compensation;
• Ammeter adjustment, for shunt temperature variation compensation.

Standard versions of CBC battery chargers are available with maximum output current 50/75/100/125/150/175/200/250/300A.

An external potentiometer for fast regulation of charge current is available on request.

Different charge curves for special applications can be programmed by the factory without extra cost.
